Mystery after brown envelope containing huge sum of cash found on Dublin Bus

The footage claims to shows an envelope which contains a wad of €50 and €100 notes sitting on a seat in an empty bus.

The discovery is believed to have been made in north Dublin. According to audio accompanying the video, a man tells how “two young fellas got onto the bus, one jumps on and the other fella gets on in Finglas.”

“Your man gets on with a big spots bag, hands it to the fella, puts the brown envelope down and walks off without it,” the audio continues.

“Obviously doing a deal or whatever but they’re after leaving the envelope with over €60,000 in it,” the man says.

“The gardai are after coming to the depot and seizing it,” he adds. A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána was unable to confirm the find.

"We do not comment on third-party material," he said. "In the absence of any specific dates or further details, a search of our system is not feasible."
