Barry Keoghan and new girlfriend Sabrina Carpenter made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala last night.

The Saltburn star (31) and the pint-sized singer (24) arrived at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday evening for the annual fundraiser together.

Inspired by this year’s dress code, ‘The Garden of Time,’ Sabrina wore an Oscar de la Renta black velvet bodice with a voluminous blue satin skirt.

She paired her look with a pair of black platform heels, a statement necklace, and glittering dangly earrings while her hair was swept back in loose waves.

Barry opted for a velvet Burberry tailored suit and waistcoat, teamed with a ruffled cream shirt with a necktie, black top hat, and leather Oxford boots.

The pair met last year at a Paris fashion event and rumours that they were dating began to fly in December after they were spotted grabbing dinner together in Los Angeles.

Two months later, Sabrina and Barry were snapped hanging out together at W Magazine’s Grammy’s afterparty before the Dubliner came to see his other half perform as the opening act of Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour in Singapore in March.

Barry split with ex-girlfriend Alyson Kierans last July, with whom he has a toddler son, Brando.

A handful of other Irish stars also graced the Met Gala last night, including Andrew Scott, who turned heads by showing off his arms in a Versace ensemble as he walked the red carpet with actor Jude Law and designer Donatella Versace.

Barry’s Saltburn co-star Alison Oliver, who stunned in a bedazzled oversized blazer and matching tights with a floral train created by Northern Irish designer and creative director of Loewe, Jonathan Anderson.

Anderson also dressed Jamie Dornan in head-to-toe Loewe on the night, with the Fifty Shades of Grey actor donning a pair of pinstripe trousers, a blue waistcoat, a red tie, and a black woollen blazer.

The Northern Irish designer was well represented on the red carpet, with a whole host of stars sporting Loewe, including Challengers actors Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist, The Bear star Ayo Edebiri, Past Lives actress Greta Lee, music superstar Ariana Grande, and Waves actress Taylor Russell.

Irish designer Sean McGirr also got a show of support at the Met, with Lana Del Rey sporting one of his looks for Alexander McQueen.

The Video Games singer attended the event with the creative director, wearing a nude corseted dress embellished with hand-embroidered sequinned branches.

She wore a headpiece made up of real hawthorn branches, with swathes of see-through tulle covering her, and a red rose on her hand.

The outfit referenced a look from the autumn/winter 2006 Alexander McQueen collection, which had similar tulle around the model’s head, but held up by ‘antlers’.

McGirr wore a black suit with a satin shirt teamed with black shoes with dramatic oversized leather tassels.
